Experimental Evaluation of Earth Tube Heat Exchanger Cooling of Air With Different Velocities

Abstract: Earth tubе hеat exchangеr systеms can be usеd to cool the building in summеr climatе and hеat the buildings in wintеr climatе. In a devеloping country likе India, therе is a hugе gap in dеmand and supply of elеctricity and rising elеctricity pricеs havе forcеd us to look for cheapеr and cleanеr alternativе. Our objectivе can be met by the use of еarth tubе hеat exchangеrs and the systеm is vеry simplе which works by moving the hеat from the housе into the еarth during hot weathеr and cold weathеr. Measuremеnts show that the ground temperaturе bеlow a cеrtain dеpth rеmains relativеly constant throughout the year. Effеcts of the opеrating parametеrs i.e. air vеlocity and temperaturеs on the thеrmal performancе of horizontal ground hеat exchangеr are studiеd. For the pipе of 9m lеngth and 0.05m diametеr, temperaturе falling of 3.930C-12.60C in hot weathеr and temperaturе rising of 6oC-10oC in cold weathеr havе beеn observеd for the inlеt flow vеlocity 11 m/s,13m/s,&15m/s. At highеr outlеt vеlocity and maximum temperaturе differencе, the systеm is most efficiеnt to be usеd .aftеr that this experimеntal data validatе with the hеlp of CFD.

Transient (Unsteady) State Thermal Analysis of Steam Turbine Casing

Abstract: An important characteristic of a steam power plant is its ability to maintain reliability and safety of the plant against frequent start-ups and load changes. Transient regimes arising during start-ups, shut-downs and load changes give rise to unsteady temperature distribution with time in steam turbine casing, which results in non-uniform strain and stress distribution. The rapid increase of temperature and rotational speed during starts-ups, especially, makes conditions more severe and causes main components damage and reduction of life span for steam turbine. Thus accurate knowledge of thermal and stresses are required for the integrity and lifetime assessment for the turbine casing.In this work, the unsteady state analysis of steam turbine casing was established by finite element method. Heat transfer of a casing surface is affected by convection and temperature distribution of inner part was calculated by conduction. The boundary condition between surface and inner area for the thermal analysis was derived from calculated heat transfer coefficient according to time. In addition to thermal loading induced by temperature variation, inner casing is subjected to mechanical loadings such as steam forces and pressure which can vary with time. Since excessive stress by pressure does not occur and the level of stress is relatively small compared to the combined stresses, loading by the pressure are neglected. In this study, thermal stresses was calculated using results of transient heat transfer analysis and the Von Misses stress distribution of HP inner casing during cold start-up.

Compact Dual Band Microstrip Antenna with Modified Resonating Structure for Wireless Applications W-CDMA, Wi-MAX, Wi-Fi/WLAN

Abstract: In this paper, a two band linearly-polarized microstrip patch antenna is designed and simulated with Modified Resonating Structure using CADFEKO simulation software. Antenna parameters are examined in this which includes resonating frequency, impedances, VSWR, directivity, gain and bandwidth of the designed and proposed resonating structure with microstrip feed. The antenna is proposed for W-CDMA, WiMax, Wi-Fi/WLAN wireless communication applications provided with greater bandwidth of around 600-800 MHz. This paper focuses on the designing of miniature microstrip antenna with microstrip feed where analyzes the results like return loss S11 parameter , VSWR, impedance, directivity, gain, bandwidth and radiation pattern (including 3D pattern) E- field and H-field at 2.1 GHz and 5.77 GHz.

Secret Image Sharing Methodologies for Digital Communication Network: A Review

Abstract: Secret sharing is an important phenomenon in order to secure the data transmission. The secure transmission takes palace in digital world of the communication System. There are number of approaches have been proposed in the current scenario. There is some problem that may occur while reconstructing the data at the reconstruction site. In this manner this paper has been proposing an optimal approach in order to perform secret sharing. This paper is going to Propose an approach during review on the image processing that totally depend upon the threshold, where a secret image can be split into N small sub-files and combination of any T sub-files, the original file can be recovered without errors.

A Novel Fuzzy Logic Based Reconfigurable Solar Converter With Grid Connected System

Abstract: This paper introduces a novel photovoltaic system is an arrangement of components designed to supply usable electric power using the sun as the power source. The main concept of a new converter, for photovoltaic battery applications, called Reconfigurable Solar Converter (RSC), uses only single-stage three phase grid-tie solar PV converter to perform dc/ac and dc/dc operations overcomes the drawback of conventional converters. In this paper a RSC which uses minimum number of conversion stages which in turn improves the efficiency and reduces the cost, weight and volume has been realized. In this paper fuzzy logic controller is used for controlling the Reconfigurable Solar Converter (RSC) for Photovoltaic (PV)-battery application, particularly utility-scale PV –battery application.

Seismic Analysis of Intze Water Tanks Under Different Zones Using Staad. Pro

Abstract: Elevated water tanks are one of most important lifeline structures. Intze tank is most commonly used water tank to supply water to society for drinking and washing purpose and also for firefighting purpose or any other emergency situation; therefore, it is necessary to find out the behavior of intze tank under one of the most vulnerable natural disaster i.e., earthquake. Earthquake occupy first place in vulnerability. In major cities and also in rural areas elevated water tanks forms an integral part of water supply schemes. In this study, intze tank is analyzed under the effect of earthquake forces using software STAAD. Pro. The parameters considering are capacity of tank with different geometries under different earthquake zones of India. Various parameters on the basis of which results are analyzed are maximum stress and maximum deflection. Based on these results, salient conclusions are drawn.

Single Instruction Multiple Data(SIMD) Implementation on Clusters of Terminals

Abstract: Today's life style is totally infatuated with computer and technical world and we all are also the part of the crowd . Many scientific and economic fields need a large computer power for their solution, but maximum solution are highly economic effective and expensive. The numeric simulation of complex systems like weather forecast, climate modeling, molecular biology and circuit design are some of such problem. There are two approaches to solve them. Either an expensive parallel supercomputer has to be used [First], or the computer power of workstations in a net can be bundle to computer the task distributed [Second]. The second approach has the advantage that we use the available hardware cost-effective. This paper describes the architecture of a heterogeneous, concurrent, and distributed system, which can be used for solving large computational problems. Here we present the basic solution by single instruction stream and multiple data stream(SIMD) architecture for solving large complex problem. We present a concurrent tasks distributed application for solving complex computational tasks in parallel. The design process is parallel processing implementation on clusters of terminals using Java RMI.

Outline and Implementation of AES (128 bit) in view of FPGA

Abstract: Another FPGA-based usage plan of the AES-128 (Advanced Encryption Standard, with 128-piece key) encryption/unscrambling calculation is proposed in this undertaking. For keeping up the velocity of encryption, method of information transmission is altered in this outline with the goal that bit beginning key, and also the 128-piece yield of cipher text, are all partitioned into four 32-bit continuous units separately controlled by the clock. A Review of WiMax-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) For PAPR and ISI

Abstract: WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) is a technology which can offer high speed voice, video and data services as per demand of customer’s end. It provides data rates up to 75 Mbps over the distance of 50 km. WiMAX uses frequency bands of 10-66 GHz, covering long geographical areas using licensed or unlicensed spectrum. Many technologies have been investigated so far to reduce increase PAPR and throughput of the WiMAX-OFDM system. This paper presents a comprehensive review of Peak to average power ratio (PAPR) and Inter symbol Interference (ISI) of WiMAX-OFDM system.
